Alien Track A was remixed by Tin Drum producer, Steve Nye and has a harder, less disco, sound than the John Punter mixes of 1980. The original 1980 mix of 'European Son' was first released in Japan as the b-side of 'I Second That Emotion' and on the Special Edition - Five Song - Extended Play, in Canada. The original version of 'European Son' is available on Assemblage and 'Alien' is taken from the album Quiet Life.

Life In Tokyo, Extended Remix (7:06) was mixed in 1982 and overdubbed by the group. This version also appears on the Japanese Singles 2CD set. The sleeve has Sylvian in silhouette in the window of a room at the Keio Plaza Hotel, Shinjuku City, Tokyo, Japan. There is a painting of Sylvian by Mulligan from the 80s band Fashion on the back sleeve.

The other two tracks, 'Deviation' & 'Obscure Alternatives' are taken from the 'Live In Japan' EP which was released in July 1980.

Very good condition by sight.  I have owned this collection of Japan & David Sylvian records since their release date, each one bought as soon as it came out and have been lovingly cared for ever since, but I am now reluctantly selling them in the hope they go to a good home & will be appreciated by someone else. They are obviously 40 years old so show some signs of wear but I consider them to be in very good condition for their age. I no longer have a turntable so I cannot test them but all look very good.
