LP. JAYNE MANSFIELD with Arthur Blake, impersonator and Mickey Hargitay, commentary

Conditions : laminated cover on the front shows some yellowish stain near the lower right corner on the back. Furthermore the edges onthe front right side as well as on the back left side have each a tiny tear in a not corresponding position which have been repaired from inside. Some light overall wear, EX / disc has some minor scuffs which do not affect play at all, EX+
STRICTLY GRADED
Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc. ... are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.
Notes : scarce British issue recorded live in Las Vegas at the Dunes Hotel from the show titled " The House of Love ". In the States the album was released with different art cover and the title was " Jayne Mansfield Busts Up Las Vegas ". Seven pleasing songs from the swing flavor preceded by funny dialogues between the actress and Arthur Blake impersonating big names in that era such as gossip columnist and screenwriter Louella Parsons, actresses Bette Davis and Talullah Bankhead, actor Charles Laughton and composer, singer, director and actor Noël Coward. Orchestra conducted by Bill Reddie.
