Description
10 inch jazz LP by Joe Newman and His Band, Vanguard Jazz Showcase (issued in cooperation with Downbeat), VRS-8007, 1954, Mono
Lineup: Joe Newman, trumpet; Frank Wess, tenor sax and flute; Matthew Gee, trombone; Frank Foster, tenor sax; Eddie Jones, bass; Johnny Acea, piano; Osie Johnson, drums.

Record has been visually graded. There are light lines on the playing surfaces, but no scratches. Surfaces still have a nice gloss. Deep groove labels have light wear around very edge of record holes, but are otherwise in great shape. No writing or marks.
Album cover has old tape along the entire top seam covering a split. There is about a 2 inch piece of tape on bottom seam. Seam wear on bottom and side. Front cover has some soiling and "I 800" written in red marker. There is also "MISC JAZZ" written in ballpoint near drawing (please see picture.) The same "I 800" is written in red marker on the back over the same "MISC JAZZ" in ballpoint. There is also a radio station call letters in small writing in light brown ink and something crossed out with red marker. Back also has some soiling.
