Jazz al Capolinea

Italian pressing, Jii 1 (1974)

Top rare private press double Lp, a very important document about the first Italian jazz meeting at the Giorgio Vanni's "Capolinea" club in Milan. Superbly clean and perfect sound quality recording of the top of the top 1974 Italian jazz scene.

Incredibly good jazz by the Giorgio Azzolini quintet on "Summit soul" and on the funky "Spanish portrait" (10'45" long), and actually, alternative versions from his impossible to find "Spanish portrait" Lp!

Superb Fender Rhodes funky jazz by the Sante Palumbo group on the outrageously long "Dip" (15'40") and on "Pop blues" (13'55"). Amazing drum breaks provided by the great Tullio De Piscopo, please note the killer clean breaks at 1'45" of the second clip, so good!

Other trax, include the superb "Eruzione" by the Mario Rusca Trio, "Et Maintenant" by the Sergio Fanni quartet, Gianni Coscia quintet, Claudio Benedetti quartet and so on...

Housed in a raw home made gatefold sleeve including the little yellow booklet with liner notes and the whole personnel, rare!
