Condizioni : copertina che presenta una traccia bruna causata dalla rimozione di un nastro adesivo lungo il bordo inferiore vicino all'angolo destro e in quello corrispondente sul retro, circa 4 centimetri ciascuna; bello stato, EX / il vinile ha qualche segno superficiale e le impressioni lasciate dal lungo contatto con la busta interna in plastica trasparente. L'ascolto non rivela alcun difetto; bello stato, EX 

Condition : cover shows a brown trace caused by the removal of tape along the bottom edge near the right corner on the front and in the corresponding one on the back, about 4 cm each, EX / vinyl has some surface marks and the impressions left by long contact with the inner sleeve in clear plastic. Listening does not reveal any flaw, EX

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musica registrata dal vivo nel Central Plaza Dance Hall di New York City. Pertanto nel disco sono presenti le voci dei musicisti e gli applausi degli spettatori. Così facendo il regista del cortometraggio, Roger Tilton, intendeva sondare le reazioni delle persone di fronte ad un evento insolito. I brani scelti per questo breve concerto dovevano essere necessariamente popolari per poter richiamare il maggior numero possibile di persone. Ma anche vecchi standards come "Ballin' the Jack", composta da Chris Smith nel 1913, mantengono inalterato il loro fascino.

Notes : music was recorded live in the Central Plaza Dance Hall in New York City. Therefore, the record includes the voices of the musicians and the applause of the spectators. In doing so the director of the short, Roger Tilton, intended to explore the reactions of people facing an unusual event. The tunes chosen for this short concert needed to be popular in order to involve as many people as possible. But even old standards like "Ballin' the Jack", composed by Chris Smith in 1913, keep unchanged their charm.
