GIULIO CAMARCA & TRINIDAD "Samba do amigo" Shirak SGC 3303
Recorded in Turin in middle '70, but done in sweet and lovely style of '60 Bossa Classic, with the support of one misterius Female Vocal Group, this album rappresent one of the most important release of the period, a set that mixes jazzy inflections of Guitar , percussion and vocal's , with a sound that's unlike anything else we've ever heard before.
This records is a pure trip in different music expression of Brazil with italian touch,and include tracks like :
" BIRIMBAO " (One the favorite version by italian afro DJS ) ,
" SAMBA DO AMIGO " (a classic tune with italian soundtrack feeling, and my favorite
" JALMA " after some year this track was name ispirator for the second group of Giulio Camarca : " GIALMA 3 " ,
This track starting with ipnotic vocals to guitar solo with lightly scat, blowing percussion and killer bassline ....
The DJ tune of the early eighties was the track " MANHA "
singned by Camarca and Mannori, a pure floorfiller of the italian club like cosmic, Thyphoon, Chicago , etc.. Great brazilian vocal album !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
