Description
Jazz LP by Joe Newman Quintet, “Jive at Five,” Prestige/Swingville, 2011, mono, 1961.

It is hard to identify an original issue of this album since Goldmine totally dropped the ball in describing Storyville labels, alternately identifying mono labels as purple, or red, and then saying that stereo labels were also red. However, the logo is in block lettering which matches an original 1961 mono issue. The album cover also has “Preview Copy” stamped on the back in block letters.
The record is in VG++ condition. There is some scuffing on the playing surfaces. Labels are in perfect condition. Album cover has corner wear and record wear. There is a 2 inch split at the bottom of album.
