FRANKIE TRUMBAUER & HIS ORCHESTRA -- OKEH 40979 MISSISSIPPI MUD // THERE'LL COME A TIME-- Condition: Looks VG +++ // PLAYS E- or Better! This is another "amazing record" that might have just sort-of happened because everyone was in the same studio one day. Mississippi Mud is the big star, not to mention the fabulous talent in Trumbauer's orchestra taking solos, we get a very "impromptu" sounding duet with Bing Crosby and Frankie himself! They both are having a real good time! The other side features no vocal, only hot solos by the bands various members. The music is hot, the tempos are hot, the musicians are hot -- well -- the record is really hot!!! The condition is amazing. Although the label looks a bit worse for the wear, the grooves, played with a 2.5 ET stylus, sound incredibly great, save for an occasional tic or click. I played this one three or four times, just to be sure I wasn't hearing things. Anyone who buys this record will get a great copy, despite the looks and a few scratches. As with all records purchased from me, they are cleaned with the VPI professional Record Washing System, so the sides are free of grit and dirt and they are CLEAN!
This is part of a huge collection that I am trying to get posted on EBAY. Since there are now others posted from me, I will happy to combine orders to save shipping costs, since it costs very little more to ship six records as it does to ship one! However, any record agreed to be held, must be paid for with 48 hours, or they will be put up for second chance offers. It is impossible to tie us all of the income from "held" records, for, what could be weeks, without payment. Unless otherwise noted, records are shipped in plain manilla sleeves and shipped in heavy cardboard boxes with double pieces of cardboard top and bottom and the middle (if the the shipment is large enough) and packed with popcorn and/or bubble material.
