Great bluegrass from the 1970's

Featuring the great singing of Red Allen and Doyle Lawson; Larry Rice on Mandolin.

RAMBLIN BOY in VG+ condition. HOLIDAY in excellent condition, played only once or twice.

Description: Here is are two very nice bluegrass LP's of JD Crowe's band from the early 1970's featuring, on Ramblin' Boy Doyle Lawson on guitar, Larry Rice on Mandolin, Bobby Slone on Bass, and Crowe on banjo; On Holiday, Red Allen is the lead singer. The Ramblin' Boy album is an original Lemco issue; the Bluegrass Holiday is a later Rebel Records reissue. Iconic banjo picking throughout.

BLUEGRASS HOLIDAY : SIDE ONE: Little Girl in Tennessee; Down Where the River Bends; Philadelphia Lawyer; Will You Be Satisfied that Way; Train 45; You Go To Your Church; SIDE TWO:  Helen; Before I Met You; Orange Blossom Special; Dark Hollow; She's Just a Little Cute Thing; Little Bessie.

Condition: Vinyl and jacket of the Ramblin' Boy are at least VG+; jacket has only slight handling wear and no splits. Vinyl clean with moderate background noise--I have not done a deep cleaning (listen to sample). Bluegrass Holiday is in Excellent condition-very clean and unworn jacket; bright vinyl and looks like it was only played once or twice. Excellent on both the vinyl and the jacket for this one.. Using Ebay’s Suggested LP Grading Scale  --To Summarize: On Ramblin' Boy Overall vinyl (we try to be conservative in our grading) VG+; Jacket VG+; On Bluegrass Holiday, Excellent on both vinyl and jacket.
