Jean Le Fennec - Phantastic
One of the rarest and strangest Francophile lps i have ever come across. A true work of genius, albeit a completely mad one. Incredible production by Willy Albimoor a well known Belgium jazzer who really goes all out on this beauty, one cannot help but think of Vannier when listening to this. A hefty dose of mentalist fuzz guitars, evil strings, concrete and electronic effects all help to bring out the beautiful madness in Le Fennec's music. His lyrics are poetic, complex and surreal as are the melodies.
