Soul Of Africa (Kindred Spirits) Cover NM / vinyl NM The Jef Gilson masterpiece - originally released on Le Chant Du Monde - has been reissued by Kindred Spirits some years ago. This is probably one of their fastest sold out release! Now this one is impossible to find anywhere. For those of you who don't know the original, this is one of the most sought after French spiritual jazz LP, probably in my top 3 of French jazz record. Jef Gilson is capturing here the soul jazz spirit of Pharoah Sanders, melting it with the European modal feeling and the experimental work of Sun Ra, creating an intense and mindblowing piece of music. Both record and cover of this reissue are in perfect condition.
