Jeff Beck - ‘Truth’ LP. SCX 6293
Jeff Beck 1968 UK 1st STEREO FACTORY SAMPLE pressing of the 'Truth!' LP. Released in August 1968, and offered here FULLY COMPLETE. This is one of the finest Rock n Roll albums ever created (in my opinion). Featuring the soon to be global talents of Rod Stewart on lead vocals and Ronnie Wood on bass guitar.
Released on the blue and black Columbia label both vinyl labels feature the 'Sold in the UK....' text and have 'The Gramophone Co Ltd....' rim print. Unusually side one has an extra ‘dot’ within the sold in UK text (see pictures). Both sides of the vinyl have the very earliest possible matrix numbers for this release: YAX 3706-1 and YAX 3707-1. The vinyl is housed within the original EMI advertising inner sleeve and front laminated flip back sleeve. A nice early demo example of this debut LP from Jeff Beck and soon to be famous backing band.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. YAX 3706-1 1 M
Side 2. YAX 3707-1 1 R
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD- condition on side one and VERY GOOD condition on side two.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. Old repair on bottom left front corner.
The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition. I will also include an additional inner sleeve to protect the original.
This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.55. EU recorded postage is: £12.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £18.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
