Description
This is the original UK LP by JEFF BECK, TRUTH, 1968 1st Press MONO on the black and blue COLUMBIA label SX 6293, with "GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD" rim credits and "Sold in the UK" label credits.
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- XAX 3706 - 1, Side 2:- XAX 3707-1
Stampers are, Side 1:- 1 / U, Side 2:- 1 / P, super low mother stampers!
Both matrix and stamper codes indentify this as a Mono very 1st pressing.
The original 1968 UK Garrod and Lofthouse flipback cover with 'Patents Pending' credits on bottom fliback is in EX+ condition, super clean front and back!. The lovely glossy laminated front, maintains all it's original bright vibrant colour, so clean!, their are some small area's of light lamination creasing, mainly to the bottom right hand corner. If it not were for the lamination creasing, the cover would be graded MINT-!. The back is lovely white, fresh and clean, their is no unwanted writing and no scuffs, all seams are un-damaged, solid and clean, the spine with top and bottom pinched corners (nice to see) is superb, lovely and clean, no damage, no wear and perfectly readable. Altogther a lovely original Mono cover!
The vinyl is in Near MINT condition!!, gleaming with all it's original shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very carefully!) and the vinyl plays MINT !!!, even quiet in run-in, run-off areas and inbetween tracks! the vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity, super clear Vocals from Rod Stewart and sublime guitar work and clarity from Jeff Beck himself, the Mono is sublime!, a WONDERFUL PLAYING VINYL!
The STUNNING original black and blue COLUMBIA labels are in Near MINT condition, beautifully clean and fresh, maintaining all their original bright fresh colour, their is no unwanted writing, no scuffs, the centre spindle hole shows little or no wear, beautiful labels, possibly cant be bettered!
The vinyl is housed in it's original 1968 1st issue UK EMI inner sleeve, advertising previous EMI LP releases and is in Near MINT condition!, beautifully celan and crisp, no unwanted writing and no seam splits
Altogther a SUPERB example of this RARE 1968 UK 1st Press Mono LP, SO SO HARD TO FIND IN Mono, BARELY SEEN!!!
