Description
This is an auction for the second lp by the Jeff Beck Group entitled "Beck-Ola" released in the Uk in 1969 catalogue number SX 6351. This copy is a first press in Mono with matrix numbers of XAX 3870-1 and XAX 3871-1 and with very early Mother stampers of 1 O and 1 R.
The vinyl ,which is nice and thick, is visually in Excellent++ condition if not better with a lovely deep sheen and has obviously only been played a few times. There are a couple of sleeve type removal marks visible under strong light but I do not want to underestimate how good this lp looks .
The visual grading is matched by the audio. I have listened to the entire lp at high volume and the audio is superb. The lp sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips, jumps or clicks, just some very very light background noise is places. A really excellent listen and I am happy to grade the audio as Near Mint.
The labels are in near mint condition with one or two very light spindle marks visible.
The first press triple flipback Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve with the pinched spine is in Very Good + condition. I would grade it higher but there is a sticker removal mark on the front and some light storage wear to the rear (please see the photo's.
The Lp comes with its original EMI inner sleeve but will be sent in a new one to avoid tears.
Overall a very nice copy of this rare lp.
PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER CLASSIC ROCK LPS.
I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below
The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Please note that i combine shipping for multiple buys. Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.
Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
