Description
This is an auction for the debut Lp by Jeff Beck entitled "Truth" released in 1968 on Columbia records catalogue number SX 6293. This is a first Uk press on the Blue and Black Columbia labels with the matrix numbers XAX 3606-1 crossed out and XAX 3706-1 stamped below it on side 1. On side 2 the matrix is XAX 3607-1 which is crossed out and XAX 3707 stamped below it.
The Vinyl is visually in Very Good+ condition with a couple of light superficial marks. It sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips or jumps. There is some light background noise and a couple of light ticks but overall it is a good listen. I would grade the Audio as Very Good. The labels are in very good condition with one light mark on side 1 [see photo].
The triple flipback Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve is in very good- condition. The spine is nice and clearly legible. There are some creases to the front laminate and one mark to the front left of the cover. There is some minor ringwear-please see the photo's.
The lp comes with its original EMI bag.
Overall a nice playable copy of this classic lp.
Please check my listings for other classic rock LP's
I use the Record Collector grading system to grade my records-please see below
The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk recorded/special delivery at a cost of £2.50. I will pay the extra. The cost of postage in Europe is £4.50 . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.
Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
