Description

Very early pressing of JEFF WAYNE's 'War of the Worlds' double album from 1978 with illustrated story booklet in excellent condition throughout.

Matrices: A1/B1/C2/D1

Both vinyls play well with an excellent sound quality. Both have their original even black gloss surfaces and have very little signs of previous play - surface marks/hairlines are very minimal and there are no scratches. No jumps or distortion. We noticed 2 light clicks during the opening narration on side one a few minutes in but it plays through these without a skip.

Outer gatefold is excellent; no major damage whatsoever and it is strong and the colours still vibrant and spine fully readable. Faint ring wear on the back cover as shown and slight darkening of the ivory colour from age but these are minor flaws in our opinion. There has been a small sticker in the top left hand corner that has left a little residue mark approx 1cm squared.

Inner booklet has no damage whatsoever and is EX+.

Both inner sleeves a little discoloured but undamaged.

I grade all my records according to The Record Collector Magazines grading system.

I always test play my records unless they are in near mint condition and appear unplayed but the description will state this. I don't sell records with deep scratches or marks that affect the sound quality and enjoyment.

The record will be cleaned by myself and packaged in a protective plastic cover and then posted in a custom cardboard record mailer with a cardboard stiffener.
