Description

JEREMY SPENCER's first solo album imaginatively titled "Jeremy Spencer" released on the Reprise label in 1970, this is an original German copy ( Reprise RS 5187 ) and has a wonderful gate-fold sleeve full of great pictures of the musicians! In the late sixties Jeremy was a member of Fleetwood Mac a well respected English blues band. Their albums are quite hard to find these days and command high prices in mint condition. The line up at that time was Peter Green-guitar/vocals/harmonica, Jeremy Spencer-slide & bottleneck guitar/vocals/piano, Mick Fleetwood-drums percussion, and John McVie-Bass. They recorded for the fledgling UK blues label "Blue Horizon" (a subsidary of CBS ) with production work taken on by the legendary Decca in-house producer Mike Vernon. On this hard to find first solo album Jeremy is joined by all the afore mentioned members and also later F. Mac addition Danny Kirwin!
