Description

This mid 1958 release was an opportunity for Jerry Lee Lewis fans to buy his first 2 UK hits on one convenient disc with the added bonus of a picture sleeve with Jerry pounding his piano with lamination on both front and back.  The later issues had laminated fronts only.  The record itself is the first pressing from June 1958 with a tri-centre rather than the 2nd pressing rounded type from 1960 onwards.  The pictures confirm that this EP is an original, which is comparatively rare in such fine condition and thus a much sought after item.   JERRY LEE LEWIS “JERRY LEE LEWIS” EP LONDON RE-S 1140 [AKA JERRY LEE LEWIS No 1]   Side One: It’ll Be Me / Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On Side Two: Great Balls Of Fire / You Win Again   (All tracks were recorded by Sun Records in 1958).   Condition:   SLEEVE is in top condition as illustrated with some light wear, slight lifting of the front laminate’s right edge but there are no splits, no tears and no writing.   RECORD is Excellent with 2 very light marks on side 1’s playing surface.  These have no effect the sound and listening experience, which is first class.  The label on side 1 also has the tiny letters “DRH” on its top right.  These are just visible when magnified.
