JERRY LEE LEWIS Same UK DEBUT LP PLUM LONDON DECCA GROOVED DG Rock and Roll SUN

1959 UK pressed London Records mono LP, HA-S 2138.
Original plum label pressing with distinctive Decca pressed groove and 2B/1B matrix suffixes.
Vinyl visually around G. Surfaces are still glossy and not greyed but display a fair few light scuffs and hairline scratches. No deep digs or gouges. A fair amount of spindle marks are visible but the labels are clean and free of whitening.
Actually plays better than surfaces suggest at around VG. The A side plays a strong VG. The B side in places is nearer VG minus with just one instance of two consecutive ticks. Overall the cut is still loud and bright and free of distortion with background noise behind the music.
Inner sleeve is structurally sound. Some corner creasing and some tan splash staining to rear.
External front laminated sleeve is fairly clean and tidy for vintage, grading around VG. The front panel is clean and unmarked with just light ringwear impression and some imperfections to the laminate. Rear panel has a small penned name to top left corner and original store sticker to bottom left corner. Some overall grubbiness and age toning, not obtrusively so. Edges and spine in good order and not worn or scuffed except some wear to right hand tips including the beginning of a tiny split to bottom right tip. Entry side slightly softened but not heavily worn or feathered.
