Description
JERRY PORTER : Don't Bother Me LP (Mirror [USA] SWB 122) 1966.
Record is excellent with minimal light sleeve scuffs only. Cover is also excellent with a few small tears on the seams (no splits).
Nice original copy of this fine 1966 folk/blues LP from Rochester NY.
This was produced by Armand Schaubroeck and was the first release on his Mirror label, custom pressed by Capitol. Porter played on a few of Schaubroeck's mid-70s LPs, but otherwise he made no additional recordings, as far as we know.
This is probably best known for the song "LSD Fixation". Other than that song it's not really "acid folk" as it's sometimes hyped, but rather mid-60's coffeehouse folk in the Greenwich Village style. That said, as long as you're not expecting Perry Leopold it sounds pretty cool.
