I take time and effort to ensure that all my records are described accurately and fairly. All my items come with a money-back guarantee - if it's not as described, you can return it for a full refund.
******************************************
I've played the entire LP and the audio is easily the best I've heard for one of these original pressings, with barely anything to detract from the music. Listening to this, I was reminded what an astounding and ground-breaking piece of work this is. Truly a masterpiece.
This has the following first matrix numbers to all four sides, first mothers and early stampers (37, 35, 28 & 28).
Side 1: 7-214-2 1 CG
Side 2: 7-215 1 CI
Side 3: 7-216-2 1 UH
Side 4: 7-217 1 UH
Detailed description
Vinyl: The vinyl looks superb and has retained its original high sheen. It has clearly been well cared for and rarely played. Under bright light, I could see just fine hairlines, sleeve removal marks and scuffs and a couple of whispy lines on side three which have no audio impact. I have played the entire LP and it sounds excellent throughout, with clear dynamic sound and very little in the way of extraneous noises. I was listening intently, using headphones and Jesus Christ Superstar has many sparsely arranged, quite sections and so, inevitably, there was some soft background noise audible in some of these quiet passages and in the run-ins/outs, fades, silent grooves and intros. There are a few places where you get one or two random clicks or the occasional soft swish, but throughout the entire LP (four sides) I only noticed two repetive clicks (see below) and even these were soft and unobtrusive. There is nothing anywhere on this record which is loud or intrusive, and this is easily the best audio performance I have heard from one of these early copies. I think it would be hard to find one which sounds better.
Here is a list of all the repetive clicks noticed:
Side 1: No repetive clicks.
Side 2: Soft click heard only during the very quiet solo-horn introduction to 'Simon Zealotes'.
Side 3: Four or Five barely audible clicks (only in the left channel) during a quiet passage near the end of 'The Arrest'.
Side 4: No repetive clicks.
Labels: All four labels look great with absolutely no signs of damage, writing, stickers etc and just light spindle marking. Judging by the spindle marks I would estimate the following number of plays for each side is approximately as follows:
Side 1: Played about a dozen times.
Side 2: Played about ten times.
Side 3: Played about six or seven times.
Side 4: Played about three or four times.
I genuinely believe that it would be very hard to find copies of these original 40-year-old disks that look and sound better than these.
Sleeve outside: The unlaminated sleeve has no writing, splits, tears, stickers etc and is showing just typical signs of age, use and storage. There is some minor creasing around the edges and corners, a few marks and scuffs, some ring wear to the rear etc, but nothing significant.
Sleeve inside: Nice and clean with minimal signs of wear.
Edge wear: There is light wear to the top and spine, mainly at the corners, and more prominent storage wear to the bottom, but there are no splits. The spine is intact and the text is all fully legible.
Corner wear: The corners show storage wear, especially the bottom ones.
Inner sleeve: Original poly-lined blue and white inner sleeves.
Other inserts: The original booklet has just light signs of handling with no missing or torn pages and all the pages are still attached to the central staples. There is a pale 'water stain' in the top corner of some pages, most noticeable on the back page.
Detracting features not covered above - None.
Please check out my other items and take advantage of reduced postage costs for multiple buys.

Information about descriptions.
My items are always described accurately and fairly. I always do my best to point out any blemishes which might detract from the item and all photographs are of the actual item you will get.
Play-graded vinyl: I play grade records where possible but I don't have time to play them all. I will not usually play records which appear to be in excellent or NM condition. I always state in the listing if I have played a record prior to describing it. When I play a record I listen to it carefully through headphones, taking notes of any noise, clicks, distortion etc and play it all the way through, unless stated otherwise.
Visually-graded vinyl: Unless specifically stated in the listing, vinyl is visually graded. I will not usually play records which appear to be in excellent or NM condition. A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and can help determine whether a record has been cared-for properly, but it will not detect noise or crackle caused by non-visible sources. Most of the records I sell are between thirty and fifty years old and so it is likely that there may be some background noise even if they look perfect. Visually graded records can only be returned if I have made an error or significant omission in my description - I cannot accept returns of visually graded records based on the buyer's assessment of their play grade. Please do not bid if you disagree with this.

I have some very simple terms and conditions. Please read them before bidding. If you do not agree with them, please don't bid. Thank you.

- Please pay for your item within three days of the auction closing. If you are intending to bid on other items and wish to pay when they have closed, please contact me to let me know. POSTAGE & PACKING
I care about the records I sell and believe that they need to be carefully and securely packaged to ensure that they survive their journey through the post. Vinyl is removed from the sleeve for posting and the contents will be protected with rigid cardboard stiffeners. All packages are labelled "Do not bend" and securely sealed with "FRAGILE" parcel tape.
I support the use of recycled materials and so I may send some items in packaging which has been previously used or which has been made from other cardboard packaging. If you wish your item to be sent in entirely new packaging please let me know before paying for it. Thanks.

P&P charges
I need to cover the cost of postage, packing materials, time and fees but I try not to charge more for packing and posting your item than it actually costs me. I do not view P&P costs as a means of making money.
However, to quote an exact cost for every LP is difficult because of the wide variance in weight (e.g. Abbey Road weighs around 230 grams whereas Led Zeppelin III weighs around 390 grams). But the majority of single LPs, when packed, will weigh around 500-550 grams and I have based my P&P rates on this.
Occasionally, you may end up paying a few pence more than it actually costs me and occasionally you may end up paying a few pence less than it actually costs me. If there is a significant discrepancy in your favour I will refund the difference.
Double LPs will be charged as two LPs, triple LPs will be charged as three LPs. Box sets etc will be charged according to weight.
