Jethro Tull ' Aqualung' 1971 UK original vinyl album on the Chrysalis green with Island white 'i' logo label, catalogue number ILPS 9145 (stereo)
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side 1: ILPS 9145 A-1U 2 GH Side 2: ILPS 9145 B-3U 1 AO
This is a heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Both sides of the vinyl have a moderate amount of light surface scratches and a few small scuffs clearly visible under a bright light, but I cannot feel any of them. The record plays really well with some light crackle and surface sound in the quieter parts - and there are a few on this album - but nothing repetitive or unpleasant. There are a few random ticks, but they're soft and not very obvious. There are no sticks, no skips, no jumps.
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have some faint spindle lines - no writing, no damage.
The cover is a gatefold type. All the surfaces have a woven, textured finish, it does not have any laminate or coating. There is very little wear on this cover, just the very slightest surface rub - so little it is barely worth a mention, a tiny amount at the tips of the corners and some small scuffs on the tips of the seams and on the back of the open edge, but it really is very minor. The centre piece is just like new, apart from a small, neat '1.50' printed in the top right corner.
The spine is almost as new with just slight even discolouration and a few tiny creases, it is clearly and completely readable.
The inner sleeve is the original picture and lyrics inner, completely square cut with a cut-away entry edge. It is very slightly creased (very little) and it has the catalogue number neatly written on the back in the top right corner. No seam splits, no tears, no damage.
I have checked the Record Collector grading system and I would say the gatefold cover is 'excellent+', the record is visually 'very good+' and the audio is 'very good+'
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a strong record mailing box with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
