Description

Here we have a copy of Jethro Tull's Aqualung. This is the first UK press of this masterpiece, released on Island/Chrysalis Records catalogue number ILPS 9145. This is the rare early press that features both the Island "i" and Chrysalis logos on the label. It also has the textured gatefold sleeve with printed insert. Side one also features "P.Handsford 9" hand inscribed in the run out beside the matrix numbers!
GRAB A BARGAIN!!!!
Sleeve Condition – GOOD+/ VERY GOOD – The gatefold cover is in great condition. Shows a few little signs of shelf wear but nothing very bad. The spine is also in nice shape. The reason I don't grade a full VERY GOOD or even higher is that on the front there is a little damage in the middle where a little section of print seems to have worn away. It is not that noticeable due to the style and print of the cover, but I want to mention it's there. The printed insert is in nice shape also. It shows a little wear and tear and a few light creases but nothing that bad. Someone has also strengthened the edges with tape, it looks it was done years ago and there doesn't seem to be any splits on the edges, so this tape might be able to be taken off due to how long it's been there.
Record Condition – VERY GOOD+ – Record looks to be in great shape! There's a few light hair lines in places, and there is a visible scuff or two. These look like the shouldn't affect play and look superficial. A clean might further improve the sound and might minimize any little scuff.
