Description

Artist: Jethro Tull

Title: Benefit

Details: - Never released in the UK on the plain `Pink` Island label so this is a really nice find, this French edition is on the `Pink` Island label and whats even better is the condition is `Top Quality` with just a few sleeve removal scuffs. The sleeve is front laminated (was matt in UK) with a matt backboard and is also in `Lovely condition` - matrix 6339 009 1/6339 009 2, mothers A/A

Label: Chrysalis

Catalogue No: 6339 009

Year: 1970

Country of Issue: France

Vinyl: (Near Mint) Plays Great, just the lightest of sleeve removal scuffs visible under Halogen Spotlights .

Sleeve: (EX++) Front laminated sleeve with `Matt finish` backboard, some ringwear just starting to show on rear, Laminate give this sleeve a Beautiful finish (the UK version was a matt finish)

Labels: As New no visible spindle lines this LP has had minimal play

Please note I use lots of photos to show as accurately as possible what you are getting (also I dont cut the corners of the record sleeve off the picture!!)

Music: Benefit is the bands third album, released in April 1970. It was the first Tull album to include pianist and organist John Evan and the last to include bass guitarist Glenn Cornick who formed `Wild Turkey`. More hard-rocking than `Stand Up` it also incorporated more advanced studio techniques, such as backward-recorded flute (on "With You There To Help Me") and piano, and sped-up guitar (on "Play In Time").

Trivia: Who is Michael Collins in "For Michael Collins, Jeffrey, and Me" ? Collins was the third astronaut on Apollo 11, the one who did not get to walk on the moon

Post/Packing: UK - £4.50 (Recorded Delivery), Europe £5.50, Rest of World £9.00

I use professionally made packing with card stiffeners & record removed from album cover - see photo
