Description
JETHRO TULL - " CATFISH RISING ", Chrysalis Records Ltd. (DCHR 1886) Stereo, 1991.
Very rare, 1991, English 1st pressing LP issue of the '91 Tull album.
First issue features original inner sleeve with lyrics and bonus 3 track 12" single - see photo.
English issue and pressing.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo)
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT (No deep scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, only light spindle trails, etc. In normal daylight the vinyl appears perfectly clean, under a bright grading lamp I can make out a couple of very light paper scuffs - although these are purely visual and during playback, none of these very slight superficial flaws correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback, there is some faint surface noise during the silent run-in (usually in the pressing) which disappears as soon as the music starts. It plays really well - strong, clean and without interuptions.
Not quite an untouched museum piece, but a good honest excellent copy for someone out there to play and enjoy as it was originally intended.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = EX- (No rips, tears, heavy creases, defacing, etc. But had to be marked down for a bit of light general wear affecting the edges/corners and a couple of very small, light creases - see photos for further clarification)
