JETHRO TULL - (LIVE AT THE LA) FORUM '73 - LIVE 2LP - GOOD
This a mega rare double live LP of Jethro Tull entitled "Forum '73" (Front) or "Jethro Tull in 'A Passion Play' Forum '73" (Back). Tracklisting: Disc 1, Side 1: A Passion Play; Disc 1, Side 2: A Passion Play; Disc 2, Side 3: Thick As A Brick (the "middle bit"); Cross-Eyed Mary; Disc 2, Side 4: The Bomb In The Dressing Room (unreleased); Aqualung. "The Bomb In The Dressing Room" is actually "No Rehearsal" but this was, at the time of release of this album, unknown.
This concert was recorded live at the LA Forum, Inglewood, California, USA, on 20th July 1973 during Jethro Tull's US "A Passion Play" Tour; it is a recording of almost the entire concert. The audio quality of this release is very good and sometimes excellent.
This double LP was released in the US in 1973 on the Trade Mark of Quality record label, catalogue number TMQ 72010, made in the USA. It came in different coloured vinyls; this one has one LP in yellow and the other in blue vinyl (see picture); the discs are made of good quality heavy vinyl. They go in white paper inner sleeves and then in a single green cardboard sleeve with a "Genuine Trade Mark Of Quality Disc" sticker on the front (see picture) and a yellow page on the back (picture 2). On this page the album is called "Jethro Tull in 'A Passion Play' Forum '73" where on the front there is just a stamped title "Jethro Tull Forum '73"; you can see that difference on the pictures also.
This double album is in good condition; the discs have been played many times and there is quite some surface noise but no deterioration in the sound quality; there are no scratches that cause jumps. The song titles have been written on each of the center labels (see also pictures). The inner sleeves and the outer sleeve have some wear at the edges here and there, but not much. Overall, this double LP can be graded as in Good condition.
It is a great live performance, and a mega rare LP release, a must have to complete your Jethro Tull collection!
