Please read this description carefully. This auction is for a very early pressing of Jethro Tull's Thick as a Brick.... and when I say early pressing, I mean early pressing. This particular item is Limited Edition number 0170. Which I suspect means that there were only 169 pressed before this one. Anyway, I bought this album a Tower Records in New York City in the mid 1980s. I brought the album home and put in on the shelf where it sat unopened for the next 15 years. Well, about 5 years ago, when I was moving I noticed that I had this album. It had been at least 10 years since I had played an album and I had forgotten that I even had it. Anyway, I had heard that if you hold virgin vinyl albums up to the light, that you could actually see through them... That's right!! You guessed it. The plastic wrap was torn a little so I figured... What the heck! I opened the album and held it up to the light and.. Holy Crow! It was true, but I no longer had a sealed album. Oh well! I was planning on keeping it anyway. Well, I threw it back on the shelf (without wrapping the item in plastic and although it remained relatively undisturbed for years, the cover did yellow a tiny bit. The pictures one the black background exaggerates this, they actually look more like the brighter pictures, but I used them so that you could see it. I don't like to decieve anyone. So... I guess you could say that this album is real close to MINT. I guess I can't call it mint anymore, because it now has dust on it. The cover is also near mint. With ever so slight discoloration, but absolutely no tears and very little shelf wear. Anyway, I think that whoever is lucky enough to get this very rare item will be very pleased that they did.
Now... I made the decision to sell my turntable which means that I'll be putting up quite a few albums over the next week. So keep an eye on my upcoming items and save by combining shipping. $2.00 for each additional album.
