DESCRIPTION: Up For Auction is a Rare White Label Promo DJ Sampler Album of JETHRO TULL’S THICK AS A BRICK – This Record is a U.S.A. STEREO Release On The Warner Bros. REPRISE Label (MS-2072); A Chrysalis Logo Appears in the Upper-Right Area of the Record Label – The Numbers Engraved in the Trail-Off Grooves Are: MS-2072-A 31378-D.J. IA (On Side 1) & MS-2072-B 31379-D.J. IA (On Side 2).

This Version of the Album Has the Complete Double Fold-Out Newspaper Cover (Including the Fold-Out Section At the Bottom); Also Included Are All of the Numbered Thin White Newspaper Sheets Inside Which Contain All of the Articles, B&W Photos And Cartoons (Pages 3-10; There Are 12 Pages Total Including the Outer Cardboard Cover) – The Sheets Are Still Attached To the Spine (See Photos).

There is a White Promo Sticker Pasted To the Front Cover With Small Black Lettering: THICK AS A BRICK JETHRO TULL This is an edited version of “Thick as a Brick” especially prepared to assist disc jockeys, and is different from the record intended for consumers.  In Other Words, Do Not Bid On This Item If You Wish To Own the Complete Version of This Jethro Tull Album, This is a DJ Copy Which Contains Only Excerpts or Edits of the Complete Original Opus; The Edits Are Broken Into Five Banded Tracks On Side One & Three Banded Tracks On Side Two (See Photos).  Also Included is the Original Warner / Reprise Inner Sleeve Which Contains B&W Photos & Track-By-Track Descriptions of Six Other Warner Bros. Sampler Albums.

CONDITION: I Played Both Sides of This Record a Few Days Ago - The Black Vinyl Still Shows Its Original Luster With a Few Light Scuff Marks Here & There, Both of the White Promo Record Labels Are Clean & Bright, There is No Owner’s Writing Anywhere On This Album.  Some Light Surface Noise Can Be Heard During Playback, But Never Drowning Out the Music, The Fidelity is Still Strong, There Are No Skips Anywhere (VG+ Condition).  The Inner Sleeve is Clean White With No Marks or Side Splitting Anywhere, Nearly Mint Condition.

The Newspaper Cover Shows Some Age Browning On the Outside, There is a Small Stain Near the Spine And a Light Crease Near the Edge On the Upper Right, Light Wear Can Be Seen On the Edges, Corners & Spine; Most of the Small Black Lettering is Sharp & Legible Except On the Bottom Fold Line Where Some of the Printing Has Worn Away.  The Inner Newspaper Sheets Are All Clean & Bright White With Sharp Black Lettering, All of the Sheets Are Still Attached To the Spine, There is No Owner’s Writing or Side Splitting Anywhere On the Cover (VG+ Condition) – This Classic Album is a Great Buy For JETHRO TULL Fans & Vintage Record Collectors !!
