JETHRO TULL - THIS WAS - FIRST PRESSING ON PINK ISLAND EYE LABEL     CAT NO: ILPS 9085 - MATRIX NUMBERS A/B   VINYL: RATES AS EXCELLENT. THIS IS A FIRST PRESSING MONO VERSION OF THE JETHRO TULL DEBUT ALBUM. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST COPIES I HAVE SEEN FOR A LONG TIME, BOTH THE VINYL AND THE COVER ARE IN  GREAT CONDITION CONSIDERING THE AGE OF THIS ALBUM AND THE NOTORIOUSLY FRAGILE GATEFOLD COVER. THE AUDIO IS RICH AND VERY SHARP. THERE IS NO MUDDYING OF THE SOUND AND THE VINYL IS VERY CLEAN AND HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN WELL CARED FOR. IT PLAYS PERFECTLY WITH NO SKIPS, STICKS OR LOUD POPS; THERE IS VIRTUALLY NO BACKGROUND NOISE EVEN ON VERY QUIET SECTIONS AND RUN-INS. THERE IS ONE MARK ON SIDE ONE TRACK ONE BUT IT IS COMPLETELY INAUDIBLE AND DOESN'T AFFECT PLAY AT ALL. VISUALLY THE VINYL STILL HAS A DEEP SHEEN AND LOOKS GREAT. MOST IMPORTANTLY IT SOUNDS GREAT TOO!   LABELS: PINK ISLAND WITH THE "EYE" LOGO, ROUGH TEXTURE, EXCELLENT, NO WRITING OR MARKS AT ALL. VERY FEW SPINDLE MARKS.    COVER: GATEFOLD , FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE; WIDE SPINE, INTACT AND UNCRUSHED! SLIGHT DAMAGE/WEAR TO THE TOP LEFT CORNER. GENERALLY IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, ONE OF THE BEST SLEEVES I HAVE SEEN FOR A LONG TIME. THE COLOUR REMAINS VERY BRIGHT AND VIBRANT AND IT IS VERY CLEAN. USUALLY YOU FIND THE SLEEVE OPENING IS VERY WORN ON THIS ALBUM, BUT THIS ONE IS AN EXCEPTION, THE CARD IS STILL VERY STIFF AND CLEAN. NO MAJOR CREASING OR LAMINATE LIFTS. THE INSIDE IS THE UNLAMINATED "FLIPBACK" , IT IS CLEAN WITH NO WRITING OR STICKERS.   INNER SLEEVE: PLAIN WHITE PAPER      COPIES AS GOOD AS THIS ONE ARE TRULY RARE AND BECOMING VERY HARD TO FIND.       ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I have been a record collector since the 1960's and have traded them for the last twenty years. Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump. Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
