On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Jethro Tull called 'This Was' and is a MEGA rare MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'textured' Island label!!!! THIS LP IS MEGA RARE IN MONO AND EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS THE 1968 MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS ISLAND 'CIRCLE' LOGO TEXTURED LABEL, 1ST PRESS A/B MONO MATRIX ENDINGS, AND 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD LAMINATED FLIPBACK COVER!!!!   THIS LP IS MASSIVELY RARE IN MONO - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Island UK 1st MONO pressing from 1968 and is MASSIVELY rare!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is ILP 985 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Textured' Island label (see picture) and is a MUCH RARER UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Jethro Tull at their best!!!! Any fan of Jethro Tull, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in GREAT condition and though not perfect - it still plays VERY well indeed!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, a few light hairlines, a few light scufflines, and only some VERY light paper scuffing only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD IS STILL VERY SHINY LOOKING INDEED!!!!  Another curious thing to mention about the record is that under light (only under EXTREME light ONLY) the record (on one side only) has a couple of areas that have a strange 'sheen'.  This DOES NOT apply to the whole record - only to a couple of areas on one side - and in any case it is ONLY visible under EXTREME light and DOES NOT affect play in the SLIGHTEST!!!!  It is great to find that the record plays EVEN BETTER than the visual with only a VERY few light clicks/pops (only a VERY few), NO sticking, NO jumps, NO distortion, NO hiss and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The record must grade visually Very Good(Minus) - with the playing grade MUCH better still!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL inner sleeve!!!!  The 1st Press MONO Flipback Gatefold Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, slight corner wear, only a few creases, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in BRILLIANT condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and NO yellowing!!!!  The only other thing to mention is that there is a area of laminate loss (NOT affecting the colour) along the spinal edge on the cover front.  The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN MONO - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
