JETHRO TULL - THIS WAS ( FIRST UK MONO PRESSING )
ISLAND LABEL 1968 ORIGINAL FIRST UK MONO PRESSING WITH OUTER LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE, IN NEAR EXCELLENT PLAYING CONDITION. ONE OF THE RAREST TULL RELEASES

Released in 1968 on the red ball ISLAND pink textured label, I am offering today this original first UK MONO pressing of this superb debut album from JETHRO TULL when they were a great blues rock band which is titled " THIS WAS".
The album comes complete with its original outer laminated gatefold sleeve with wide spine which is in very good condition. The front section as can be seen in my pictures is very clean and the non laminated inner gatefold is quite bunched due to the wide spine which is very similar to the Stones Beggars Banquet album. otherwise quite respectable with no unwanted writing or splits etc and the spine is fully legible.
I have just played this through for these listing purposes and it plays with near excellent audio, there is some very light crackle on occasion but nothing obtrusive and absolutely no sticks or skips. This is the very first pressing without MADE IN ENGLAND. Later copies state this at the bottom of the label
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually shows some light marks but plays with well with rich audio but there is some very light crackle to be heard on occasion but not overpowering.
The SLEEVE, The wide spine outer laminated gatefold sleeve is clean but shows edge wear to the corner of the spine and bunching to the inner gatefold.
The LABELS, The rough textured pink Island labels are clean, free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.
The INNER, The original generic inner is present but shows some tears around the centre .
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
