ARTIST: JETHRO TULL

TITLE:  STAND UP

YEAR: 1969

CAT NO: ILPS 9103

LABEL & COLOUR: PINK ISLAND 'ORANGE EYEBALL'' LOGO

COUNTRY: UK

MATRIX Nos: 1st PRESSING (+A & +B)

All of my records That I'm selling are from my own Personal Collection that I have collected and cherished for over 45 years and which have been generally kept and looked after to the highest standard. All Records that I do offer will have NO Warps,Jumps, sticks, writing on covers or labels unless clearly stated in descriptions.

Vinyl Condition: NM Visually the vinyl is in Exceptional Condition - This early 1st Press Heavy Vinyl at least has not been played into the Ground like most - Has been carefully played only a few times over the early years and then been stored away for most of its 42 years in a cupboard - with NO needle mark scratches/groove wear or any other bad marks/blemishes that I can visually see or detect on close inspection that will affect the Audio Playback - When examined on closer examination under a strong angled light it reveals nothing more than one mild light hairlines across each side that absolutely dosen't affect the virtually near perfect audio playback (this doesn't in anyway detract from the overall NMint condition on both sides) - The vinyl still retains all its original jet black shiny gloss mirror like sheen and lustre - It would be very hard these days to find a better vinyl copy of this very 1st  Pressing that plays without any problems! - it's a Superb and Exceptional Example!!!

Please Note: This record has been stored away and not touched or cleaned for most of it's 42 years it would obviously benefit from a professional clean  before play as to reduce further any light static crackle that may be still present

AUDIO PLAYBACK ASSESSMENT:  - SUPERB UNINTERRUPTED CRYSTAL CLEAR CLARITY AND POWER ON AUDIO PLAYBACK END TO END - Audio is Graded as EX to Near Mint  - This vinyl visually looks like its hardly been played that much and shows NO heavy marks or scratches and still looks an Amazing example - There are No major Clicks, pops, skips, jumps or repeats and shows No other annoying  audio noise distortions during playback If I'm going to be Ultra Critical whilst listening through the playback you may get occasionally when the very quiet tracks begin to play or on the start of run ins and inbetween tracks and the very quieter elements of audio playback or if at all  you may get some very light static crackle for a second or two and then it just fades away but absolutely nothing of any consequence on this 42 year old Classic  that will spoil your overall enjoyment of this exceptional Iconic Classic Album - Overall  its just a Fantastic listening Experience that comes from this near Perfect Dynamic Stereo Audio performance!!!

Labels Condition: NM  Original 1st Press Pink 'Orange Eyeball' logo Labels that are still in a beautiful bright vivid Pastel Pink colour - visually looks in an unmarked condition with no obvious evidence of any wear around the spindle hole that can be seen - Even under a bright angled Halogen light it shows No spindle traces around the spindle hole it's certainly evident that it was barely played and it was very well cared for and looked after over its 42 year life span

Cover Condition: EX-NM  An Original E.J. Matt Gatefold cover - This Clean Virtually Mint intact Unmarked cover is still in all around Exceptional Pristine near Perfect condition and is a Fantastic example of a well preserved looked after cover with virtually NO storage wear - That's totally intact with Superb straight edges and unworn opening edge with excellent pointed corners - The Front of sleeve showing the superb bold vivid woodcut design is wonderful and unblemished looks like New! The Back of sleeve being mainly a cream white colour  surround which is usually extremely vulnerable to getting dirty and grubby - But this one is clean and shows barely any handling evidence that can be seen - I could only find one minute tiny light storage surface scrape blemish (hardly that noticeable -) see photo scan) Inner Gatefold Now for the most impotant component on this sublime cover the cut-out pop-up that is so very delicate in construction that on opening the cover this is usually found to be tatty, creased, torn, sellotaped at the base and dosen't close correctly - But in this actual Gatefold every element of the pop-up stands up true straight and erect when cover is opened and closed works Perfectly like New! and is in Mint condition!!!  - This cover is one of the very Best I've ever seen over the years that's not falling apart - It would be very difficult to find and improve on this 1st Press cover!!!

Spine Condition: NM The un-laminated Spine is still in exceptional condition straight - clean undamaged being in pristine and virtually perfect preserved condition - All written text still showing to be bold clear legible and perfectly worded as it was printed!!!

Inner Sleeve: EX+ The original Island record company white 'Blue Boxes' Sleeve is Totally intact and only shows evidence of the usual yellow/brown ageing discolour over its lifetime - Absolutely NO Tears,Splits,Ink Writing,Stickers or other Blemishes

The overall Brilliant Pristine condition of this Album is mainly due to the superb dry storage conditions and thick plastic cover protection on this LP Record over it's Lifetime!!!

Thanks for Looking and Happy Bidding!!!

I'm currently sorting through some of my other Rarer vinyl records that have been played only a few times which are mainly UK 1st  PRESSINGS - Which are all in Excellent to Mint Condition - Mainly due to Covers/Vinyl have been kept in plastic covers and Stored in a Cupboard for all of their Life Span and this is one of them
