Description
Up for bid is an Incredibly Rare Phil Spector 45 RPM Record by the Crystals. It is titled (Lets Dance) The Screw – Parts I and II and was made in 1963. The only reason this record was recorded was to "Screw" Phil Spector's partner, Lester Sill out of record royalties. (The name of the record label, Philles is a combination of the names Phil and Les) Phil Spector had just dissolved their partnership but still owed Lester a share of the royalties from the next record. This record was designed to be so long (6 minutes a side), monotonous, and horribly bad that it could never be sold. This record is probably a bootleg since only a very few originals were made. However the bootlegs are still rare and collectable conversation pieces.
Condition: Excellent condition. I don’t have a record player to listen to this but there are no obvious scratches on the record. There are some hand-etched numbers in the margins between the groves and the paper. Side one says Side one says M-0432 The Screw Part One, and Side two says M-0433 The Screw Part Two.
