Up for auction is this Jimi Hendrix 12-LP Box Set, manufactured in Australia & released in 1980 on the Polydor label. Catalogue number is 2625038.

Also included is the 12" Maxi Single "Gloria" and "All Along The Watchtower."
The main box has some wear. Especially the lid from all the moving over the years. But the album jackets still retain their high gloss shine & the vinyls are all super clean. Great for first run recordings.
This set should not be confused with the German edition which was actually released afterwards. The maxi single of "Gloria" in this Aussie collection has "All Along The Watchtower" as the B-side, while the B-side on the German version is "Hey Joe." Just Google it.
There was a UK variation of this box set as well, but instead of the Gloria 12" it had Nine To The Universe and no mention of the single. Once again, do not confuse this release with the Australian version on sale here.
Also, there was a story doing the rounds that in Australia the shops just separated the albums & threw out the box. If this was the case, surely this Australian release, complete with box & booklet, is more collectable than ever.
