Up for grabs here is a highly collectable 2 LP album released by Polydor Records UK (1973 i believe).This is the 3rd classic LP release from highly influential American electric guitarist, singer and songwriter Jimi Hendrix and his band The Experience featuring the formidable talents of Mr Noel Redding on bass & vocals,and Mr Mitch Mitchell on drums & percussion.This LP comes housed in a fully laminated gatefold sleeve.The matrices in the dead wax indicate that this is an early pressing with 2310269 A//2 420 04 1 3, 2310269 D//2 420 04 1 3, 2310270 C//2 420 041 2 and 2310270 B//5 420 04 1 2 in run out grooves.The running order of this edition features 'auto-coupling of the discs'..ergo Record One features Sides A and D,and Record Two features B and C.
There is a little laminate 'bubbling' around the corners,and some edgewear and faint ringwear to the jacket,but certainly nothing that spoils the effect of this stunning gatefold sleeve..or spoils the view of those lovely naked 60's chicks lol ;) I playtested the records on my dual CS505-03 turntable, and was blown away by the audio which was superb,with only some very light background very occasionally.The discs have a few,and i mean a very few very light marks,but nothing that effects the listeners sheer enjoyment of the master James Marshall Hendrix's 1968 masterpiece whatsoever.The long jam version of Voodoo Chile featuring the talents of Steve Winwood,is surely one of the finest moments in musical history.To summarize..the whole package,sleeve and records are all in very nice condition for a 40 plus year old record,and i have described it as honestly as i can as a big rock music fan.I'm sure the winning bidder will not be disappointed in any way.As always questions about the item are more than welcome.I will post/ship this lovely 2 lp set to anywhere in the known universe.Thanks for looking in,and happy bidding :)
