This is the original UK LP by JIMI HENDRIX, BAND OF GYPSYS, 1970 Stereo 1st Press on the TRACK SUPER label 2406 002

 

This original UK 1st issue album,  notably it's cover was, after its initial release withdrawn, deemed offensive, and quickly replaced by a more sober / boring cover. Making this a RARE and sought after album and especially in this great condition.  

 

Matrix numbers are:-  Side A:-    2406002 A 1 1   2   1,     Side B:-  2406002 B 1  1  1   1

 

 The original very 1st UK issue MacNeill Press 'PUPPET' cover, is in EX condition. The matt finished cover maintains all it's beautiful rich deep colour, their are no seam splits, no unwanted writing. The top and bottom seams and corners show only mild storage wear. The spine is fully intact, shows light wear, and readable.

 

The vinyl is in EX+++ / Near MINT condition!, maintaining all its original shine and lustre!, barely played. The vinyl plays EX+++ / MINT- !. But for some light 'ticks' near the end of 'Machine Gun',( no sticking, no jumping), the whole album plays beautifully MINT-, with sublime depth, displaying rich tone and depth!. Superb Stereo quality!.

 

The label's are in EX+++ / MINT- condition, lovely and clean, no unwanted writing, little or no wear to the centre spindle hole.

 

The original 1970 UK 1st issue Polydor polythene lined inner sleeve, dated ; 04 / 70, is in EX+ condition, a little aged but their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits.
