A truly stunning condition first press original 1967 UK track MONO 1st pressing of 'Axis bold as love' on UK 1st press 'textured' track record labels & 1st press laminated flipback EJ. Day gatefold sleeve complete with the 100% original mega rare 1st press orange fold-out lyric insert. This is a very special copy in wonderful condition. CONDITION:

A note on grading I use the Record Collector grading system with the addition of a (+) or a (-) to denote a slight increase or decrease in condition. Items described with an aural grade have been carefully played on a Thorens TD-124 MKII with an SME 3012 Tonearm and Ortofon SPU moving Coil Cartridge.

Cover:

The laminated E.J Day Gatefold cover has retained it’s full original colour. The corners display light rubbing only, there is no lamination wrinkling, the seams are complete with no splits or other detractors. The opening seam shows a light wave but no feathering or creases. The spine is very clean with no wear or creasing. The back cover still retains its full colour there are no, bends, writing, stickers, rips or tears of any kind. The inside of the gatefold is superbly clean no detractors what so ever Condition Grade = Excellent PLUS (EX+) Please take the time to study the images above for a clear view of condition

Record:

The surfaces of the heavy pressed MONO disk display a full glossy lustre under direct angled light. Paper scuffs consistent with the record being removed and replaced into the inner sleeve are visible under angled light. These are non sounding and do not cause clicks, pops, skips or jumps. The disk is flat with no warp or buckle of any kind. (Please listen to the above recording taken from the actual disk for sale). The labels show very light signs of use to the spindle hole, in fact the spindle hole is very tight when placing the disk on the turntable a clear sign that this disk has received very minimal play. There is no colour fading, writing, or other detractors. Condition grade visually = Excellent (EX) I have listened through both sides keenly to arrive at a genuine aural grade of Excellent (EX). Please take the time to study the images above and listen to the sound clips which I hope illustrate the condition of this record far better than wordy descriptions

Insert:

The original Paul Martin designed orange Poster/Lyric Insert displays very light creasing (Not folds) only. Completely sharp edges, there are no pin marks, writing, rips, tears or aging.. Condition =Excellent (EX)
