Description
JIMI HENDRIX 2LP JIMI HENDRIX LEGACY JAPANESE POLYDOR with OBI
JIMI HENDRIX 2 LP SET entitled JIMI HENDRIX LEGACY released in STEREO in JAPAN on POLYDOR MPZ 8113/4. This is a beautiful example of the LEGACY double album by Jimi Hendrix, in a Japanese POLYDOR pressing. These Japanese pressings are known worldwide for their quality as they were pressed on high quality vinyl and they sound SUPERB.
The double LP set has a Gatefold sleeve with nice pictures of Jimi on the front and back. The inner Gatefold has the Album information in Japanese. There is an insert featuring 6 pages of liner notes – 2 of which are in Japanese and 2 with the English lyrics and a page which chronicles the groups and combos that Jimi played with or backed (rather like a Pete Frame Rock Tree) – this latter page also being in English. This LP features various mixes of Hendrix tracks which are not available elsewhere.
I used Goldmine's strict record album grading guidelines. I grade by both visual and playing.
Vinyl Condition: Spotless,no scratches or scuffs (in bright light) GLOSSY VINYL!!!!!!!!
I would give this a mint minus M- grade. It sounds GREAT!!!!!
On the paper label it hasn't any spindle marks on either side of the vinyl.
Sleeve Condition: Mint-. With the exception of very slight edge wear of the corners of the album jacket.
Track Listing:
Side A - Purple Haze / The Wind Cries Mary / Hey Joe / The Stars that Play with Laughing Sam's Dice /Highway Chile / Stone Free
Side B - Foxy Lady / Can You See Me / Fire / Manic Depression / Red House /Love or Confusion
Side C -Have You Ever Been To Electric Ladyland ? / Crosstown Traffic / Still Raining, Still Dreaming / All Along the Watchtower / Gypsy Eyes / Burning of the Midnight Lamp
Side D - Spanish Castle Magic / Wait Until Tomorrow / Power of Soul (live) / Message to Love (live) /(Them) Changes (live)

Vinyl grading is usually based on the Goldmine standard
and is as follows:
“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands
nothing but perfection.
“M” Mint - a near perfect, or unplayed record.Or just opened
album, that looks like it was never played, and doesn't show
any wear.
“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.
Album was opened. Has minor wear.
EX+ - close to like new with only superficial signs of use that
don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and
demanding collector.
EX - a used, reasonable copy.Shows slight signs of wear.
Vinyl plays very well, hard to see any wear, except there may
be some in the grooves. Like it was played a few times.
VG+ - There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility
a few scuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or
during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
VG - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable
surface noise,still plays great.
Good - In the record world, "Good" is not good!
From here on down, we're talking about a used album, that
might not sound or look very good. But it has to be graded this,
it might be a very rare record,so the fact that it's "good" is really
not that important, the idea is,it might be so rare, the condition might
be okay to live with.
Shipping:
Domestic/USA Customers - The normal/default shipping method is 'Media Mail' via the US Postal Service, since that's the method I've found most people choose. It is a little slower than Priority Mail, but cheaper and very reliable. The Post Office says delivery time is 3-9 days, though it's usually to you in less than a week. However, if you need the item(s) in a hurry, and are worried about handling time,or records being damaged, please email me after the purchase and I'll get you a quote based on your zip-code (the average Priority Mail is around $7.50 for 1 LP).
Shipping and Handling:
All LP’s are securely packaged in a protective shipping mailer/box. The mailers are made of stiff cardboard and I've found them to be very reliable. In order to take advantage of the shipping discounts on multiple purchases, please pay for all items in one transaction. When calculating the shipping, please note a Double LP Set is considered two LP's(everything is by weight) ,Boxed Collections are based on the # of discs in the collection.
Shipping and handling rates (and associated shipping discounts for multiple purchases) are as follows, based on destination:
USA - 4.00 1st LP + $1.00 each additional LP (Media Mail)
Canada - $6.50 1st LP + $3.00 each additional LP (Airmail/First Class International)
Mexico - $8.50 1st LP + $4.00 each additional LP (Airmail/First Class International)
