Here is an opportunity for you to own a piece of Rock n' Roll history.  This is a genuine acetate/test pressing of the single 'Get That Feeling' by Jimi Hendrix w/Curtis Knight. For those not familiar, Curtis Knight is attributed for being the man who discovered Jimi Hendrix.  The reference number on this Capitol recording is #5768. From the research I've done, that number might also be the actual recording date (May 7, 1968) but I'm not sure.  The disc itself is in VG+ to NM condition. The generic Capitol label that was used is in the same VG+ condition. It comes in a plain green sleeve that might or might not be original but appears to be period correct and is included. I bought this from a collector 10 years ago and have played it only once. It was played on a professional grade digital turntable and converted to a MP3 that I dropped on my Ipod. Afterwards, I put it back in the safe. Sonic wise it sounds OK but not great which is the norm for these type of recordings. Recorded in stereo, it has more of a R&B groove to it with Curtis Knight singing than any of the traditional Hendrix material that we are all familiar with.   Usually most acetates only have 2 or 3 copies. I have no way of knowing how many of these were made but there is a good possibility that this could be a one of a kind.  This auction will open at $79.00 with NO RESERVE. Good Luck!
