Description

With the 50th anniversary of the death of Jimi Hendrix coming up later this year, on the 18th September, this is a great time to collect this excellent original version of this classic album.

This LP is an original rare UK 1st Pressing, in mono. It's Jimi Hendrix Experience's first album, which was released on the Track Record label in May 1967. This was also Track Record's first ever album release. The sleeve has a gloss laminated front, and a matt black and white printed back.

This album is from my original personal collection, which I am now selling off.

I have graded this record using the Goldmine Standard grading system. Although it has been visually graded under LED lighting, I have also playgraded it. I consider that I have been very honest with my assessment, and have not over-graded it. Photos can never do justice to the condition of a record, so I've tried to describe the vinyl's condition as accurately and fairly as possible, so as not to disappoint the buyer.

The Vinyl

I am grading this as VG. There are some light scuffs and a few hairline scratches, when viewed under an LED light. During playback there is some occasional static clicks and pops, more audible between tracks. Plus, there is a slight scratch on Side 2, that goes from track 1 and half way into track 2. This is only just audible, so it doesn't detract from the sound of these two tracks. However, the overall playback is great, and still really clear for an LP of this age. There are no skips, jumps, or sticking anywhere, and the vinyl still has a good gloss level.

The labels are in excellent condition, with only a little spindle scuffing. No spindle hole wear. No writing or stickers.

The Sleeve

I am grading this as VG. The front cover has excellent colour, and a good gloss to the laminate. There are a few small creases around the edge, and a crease across the lower left corner, and 3 near the open edge, (see photos). There is very little corner wear, and the open edge only has just a little bruising. The back cover is in good shape, with very little age related yellowing. The print is still very clear. The spine is a little worn, but the text is still partially visible. There are no splits, stickers or writing.

The polylined inner sleeve has just a little creasing and age related yellowing. No splits.

This album will be sent by Royal Mail 1 day Special delivery, including insurance.

The album will be sent out in a sturdy purpose made LP album packaging, with added card stiffeners, and marked 'FRAGILE' and 'DO NOT BEND'. The disc will be sent in a new inner polylined paper sleeve, but separate to the main outer sleeve, to avoid damage from movement in transit. The whole album will then be enclosed in a polythene album outer sleeve.
