** Original 1971 UK A2/B2 EARLY PRESSING of classic JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE re-issue of debut LP **
** labels and sleeve state MONO, but the record is the STEREO mix, where some of the tracks (eg "May This Be Love") sound radically different to the original MONO mix **
An Excellent condition disc. Hardly any marks of any sort can be seen in normal daylight. Even under a very strong light, only a few of the most minor of light hairline marks can be seen, from where the LP has been taken out of the sleeve over the years. Very few centre spindle marks. Original STEREO mixes of both sides (but MONO labels/sleeve, as stated). No skips, jumps, warps, scuffs, scratches, sticking, or writing on labels. Both labels in very clean condition. Excellent sound quality throughout, with very little surface noise. A very listenable LP. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Unlaminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. "Printed and made by the E.J. Day Group" These unlaminated BackTrack sleeves are very prone to wear, but this example is far better than most, with only minor general wear. Some minor edge wear in places. No creasing. No seam splits. No writing anywhere. Spine in very good condition, with all text still clearly legible.
Supplied in white inner sleeve.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
