** Rare MONO UK A1/B1 1967 TRACK 1st PRESSING copy of THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE 1967 classic vinyl LP "AXIS ; BOLD AS LOVE", with MEGA RARE ORANGE LYRIC INSERT SHEET - which very few copies of this LP had to begin with. Those that were provided are now mainly lost. Please read the description of the item, and see all photos. **

A Fair condition disc. LOTS of light surface marks/scuffs/light scratches. Lots of centre spindle marks. This record has been played a lot, and not well cared for ..BUT - No skips, jumps, warps, sticking, or writing on labels. Original MONO mixes. Please click on all photos to see them at full size, to get a better idea of the look of the condition of the vinyl.

Despite quite poor appearances, this record actually plays very well, with good sound overall. There is some surface noise in places, but nothing too intrusive, and some 'pops' here and there, and a few clicks (mainly on Side 2, Track 1. It remains a very listenable LP though. Tested on a Thorens turntable.

Powerful-sounding MONO mix. Much better sound than the far weaker stereo mix of this LP.

A Good condition sleeve - "printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co.". Some general wear, mainly to edges and corners. There is a 3cm split to the top edge of the rear of the gatefold sleeve. A name written on the inside part of the gatefold sleeve (just above Mitch Mitchell's head..). No major creasing. Spine in quite poor condition, with lots of wear.

Lyric Insert Sheet in Excellent- condition. Some minor general wear, but no serious creasing, splits or tears. This lyric insert is now a very rare item indeed.

Supplied in company inner sleeve with polythene insert with "plastic bags can be dangerous" text. This is in Excellent condition, with no creasing, no writing anywhere and no seam splits, but with some age-related discolouration in places.

GRADING:

All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:

MINT (M):

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
