OFFERED IN THIS AUCTION IS AN ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING OF THE JIMI HENDRIX "AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE" ALBUM FROM 1967 ON TRACK RECORDS MONO 612 OO3 A 1 AND B 1 WITH THE INVERTED TRIANGLE BETWEEN THE LETTER AND THE NUMBER ALSO WITH THE CORRECT ERNEST J DAY COVER.

A real piece of rock history! The vinyl has been well played and is in good to very good condition with a good shine. Most of these 1st pressings were played to death in the 1960's and only turn up today with a dull sheen and totally worn out but not this one! 

It is the genuine article and in MONO! This is how you'd have heard it on pirate radio back in the 60's. Not many people had stereo in those days. It definitely has a different sound...not better, not worse...just different.

The E.J.Day 1st Press gatefold laminated cover is in excellent condition with staple marks in top and bottom as if it had been used as a poster in the wall. The flip over inner sleeve is in very good to excellent condition with some creases.

The spine is in excellent condition and is complete without any peeling but worn out in the corners (see photo).

The Black track labels are in very good condition.

Mint                      

Cover - Looks new - no marks, wear or damage

Disc - Looks unplayed - no marks visible

Near Mint              

Cover - Looks virtually new with signs of handling- Minor wear creases but no marks or damage. Light sleeves may show slight discoloration due to age.

Disc - May have minor scuffs &/or hairline scratches caused by moving record in & out of paper sleeve

Excellent                

Cover - Slight signs of wear on edges/spine, corners or ring wear. No damage caused by sticker removal/residue.

Disc- The record has been played and may have some superficial marks &/or hairline scratches and paper scuffs.

Very good              

Cover - Moderate edge/spine or ring wear. Corners may be a little blunt. Opening edge may show feathering caused by removal of record. Visible creases or laminate lift. Localised sticker removal damage.

Disc - The record has been played frequently and has noticable surface marks, occasional light scratches and paper scuffs.

Good                      

Cover - Heavy ring or edge/spine wear. Corners noticeable bashed. Heavy creases. Considerable laminate/surface damage.

Disc - The record looks very well played and the sound quality has probably deteriorated noticeably. A lot of surface marks/scratches 

I am not a dealer but an amateur collector selling duplicated items or records that I no longer want to keep (mostly due to space). I do not clean records (other than a dust with anti-static) and unless indicated in the listing the records have been only visually inspected.

Whilst I am happy to provide help and advice, all such claims remain the responsibility of and must be made by the buyer.

If the bidding exceeds £34 in the UK the item will be ONLY sent insured by special recorded next day guaranteed delivery post (insured up to a value of £500) at a cost of £7. The above P&P quoted is for UK only and the same principal on insurance will apply to international bidders who will need to pay £5 insurance in addition to the p&p.
