Description
Title: Axis: Bold As Love
Artist: The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Original U.K. Label: Track
Mono / Stereo: Stereo
Date of Issue: 1967
Cat Number: 613 003
Matrix numbers: 613003 Av1 / 613003 Bv1
Disc Condition: VG-: Due to quite a few surface markings, which do produce background noise, crackle and popping. I must be honest, this disc doesn’t look very nice, however not the worst i have ever seen!! The disc plays through fine with no jumping, however like i have already stated, it does produce quite a bit of background noise and a few pops throughout. The only real reason for me to list this album is due to the sheer rarity of the album (of which this is a playable starter copy, collection filler if you will!!) which includes the fantastically rare gatefold orange lyric insert, which was only issued with the very first run of this album making this copy a seriously early copy.
Gatefold Sleeve Condition: VG-: Due to some laminate creases around the edges and some wear all over especially the spine edge, which is still sound but has some laminate surface damage. Again, as the disc description, this is not the best example ever, but again is an original copy of this very rare sleeve.
Gatefold Lyric Insert Condition: The all important part of this description. This is an original copy of this seriously rare insert that hardly ever turns up. This is in decent condition with no tears at all, it does have a few creases here and there (see pic) however this does not detract from the rarity of this item. The most important thing is that that insert is in one piece with no ‘missing’ bits!!!
Label Conditions: Are both fine, with quite a few spindle markings.
Overall, this is a perfectally audible copy of this great and legendary album. An ideal collection filler.
