This is a stunning copy of Jimi Hendrix' debut LP "Are you Experienced" on the original UK TRACK label.  Issued in 1967, this album redefined what rock music could be and still figures in many critics top 10 albums of all time.

 

This copy is a genuine UK original 1st Pressing on the UK Track label in glorious MONO.  Frankly for a 41 year old copy it is in outstanding condition.

 

To allow you to assess the condition better as well as a thorough description we have provided a number of photographs and scans.

 

The Labels

 

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a a couple of very light spindle marks.

 

The Record

 

The vinyl is in MINT condition.  I cannot stress too much how rare it is to find a Hendrix track original in this condition, since they were the classic late 60's party record.  Made to be used and abused.  Not this one, though:  This copy has only been played THREE times since originally purchased in 1967 (Twice by the previous owner and once by me to check the sound quality!) and is totally UNMARKED and still retains it's factory fresh rainbow sheen.

 

This is the VERY 1st Pressing with A1/B1 matrix endings.  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The catalogue number is 612 001 on the Track label

 

It plays stunningly well.

 

The Inner Sleeve

 

It comes complete with its original white paper inner sleeve, polythene lined, which is in lovely condition (apart from some slight discolouration due to light) and still has "Patent Application No. 40904/61" clearly imprinted on the bottom left.

 

The Cover

 

The cover is EXCELLENT condition.  The front is laminated, the back is not.  It is an original E.J.Day 1st Press 'Patents Pending' cover.  It has almost no edge wear, very slight spinal wear (MEGA rare on this cover - ALL the side words are perfectly readable) and only VERY slight corner wear.

 

The front lamination is still EXTREMELY glossy with a very small amount of ringwear that is barely noticible.  The are a couple of fine creases at the top.  The most noticable is about 4cm long at the top left. Even this is pretty minor.

 

The rear cover is in fantastic condition.  Unmarked (apart from a sticker from the original retailer) the only fault of not is some light discolouration on the edges due to light.  There is none of the grubbiness or rubbing often found with this album.

 

Frankly this is the BEST copy I've ever seen, and likely as not the BEST you will ever see!
