Description
ATTENTION international bidders!
Please understand that altering the final price of online purchases to avoid customs fees is illegal. Every order is processed digitally, the shipping label affixed to the package will show the exact cost of the item. I am an honest seller and cannot alter the amount, so please do not ask me to do so. RECORD packaging & shipping!
I provide ample padding in each package to prevent shifting during the shipping process. I also use industry-standard shipping boxes which are specifically designed for shipping records. Records are shipped outside their sleeves (if a sleeve is included) and covers to prevent damage during transit.
Goldmine Standard Grading:
SS / NM- / VG++ / VG+ / VG / G+ / G / P
I grade very conservatively, please see my grading scale below the record description for more details.
Here's a original mono pressing of Jimi Hendrix's "Are You Experienced?" 1967 release on the Reprise label. This record plays all the way through without skipping but does have some surface noise at certain points. Please read more details concerning the record's condition below:
Vinyl: strong VG
Vinyl has a decent shine as the pictures show. I try to grade very conservatively. The playback on the record is enjoyable and is consistent, although it does play with light background noise and a couple clicks and pops along the way. The record has general light scuffs and light marks, there are a couple light marks that are lightly detectable to the touch but none created a skip on my turntable. One mark on side 2 is feelable but plays though fine, this area's playback is available in the clip below. I would say that playback in that area would reveal the most background noise (albeit not that much) during playback, but you be the judge. I've carefully cleaned the record on my VPI machine. Again, an example of playback is provided below.
The actual, unedited sound file below is provided by my Yamaha P-520 Direct Drive TT with Digitrac 280E cartridge @ 1.5 grams /// I can't guarantee the record will sound exactly like the file below since all turntables are equipped differently.

mp3 also available here!
Label: VG+ or better
The labels look great but do have writing, as shown in the pictures.
Sleeve: ---
The inner sleeves is a factory Reprise sleeve and has some foxing from age as well as light wear.
Cover: VG
The cover has wear around the edges. Bottom edge is separated about 3 inches in from the mouth corner. Other edges have print cracking and wear. Cover print has pen marks in various locations and a name written at the top, some ring wear and such. Back cover looks as the pictures show with light wear, print chip at the base near the center. Overall, this record would be a great placeholder in any Hendrix collection until a mint version comes along. As it is, this record plays fine, I've listened to it twice today actually. Even though there's some background noise, the listening was still very enjoyable in my opinion.
Thanks for looking!
Mike

Goldmine Grading Details
SS = Still Sealed
any defects will be listed and/or photographed to complete the description
NM- = Near Mint Minus
just short of absolutely perfect
acceptable defects would include a hairline mark not detectable to the touch and not affecting playback, background noise is nearly silent
VG++ = Very Good Plus Plus
most records I will list fall under this grade, just short of NM- but may have a mark or contact wear to the label to grade it slightly lower, maybe a drill hole or cut, maybe a mark or name written on the label lightly, sound is still great, loud and near perfect, cover may have slight edge or corner wear, maybe slight ring wear
VG+ = Very Good Plus
a great record, sound is high quality though may have a few pops or clicks, overall very nice looking vinyl possibly with light marks & scuffs, labels may have a name or mark on them, possible light contact wear to the label, covers may have a small split but not large or gaping, edge wear on cover may show more than slight, may be a mark on cover
VG = Very Good
only records I will list with this grade would be rather rare or of higher book value, meant to sell as a filler until a better record comes along, vinyl may have feelable marks but should play through without skipping, pops or clicks may be louder than usual, may have marks or wear on the label, cover may have open splits, wear on print, may have marks or other very apparent defects (all will be stated in description either by type or in the pictures)
