Description
A great opportunity to buy an ORIGINAL copy of a VINYL LP from the 1960’s by The Jimi Hendrix Experience called "Axis: Bold As Love".
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1967 on the Track label (612 003) (mono). It has a total of 13 tracks (see photos for track listing).
Please note there is NO lyric insert with this record.
The vinyl is in a clean and shiny condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are many light surface marks evident and some scratches, but thankfully these do not appear to affect the playing or sound quality.
I have played both sides in their entirety and they play without sticking or jumping. On both sides there are the odd clicks noticeable, mainly between tracks, but the mono sound quality is very acceptable and it makes great listening. Overall I would grade the vinyl in a VERY GOOD condition.
There are some spindle marks noticeable on both labels when tilted towards the light, otherwise the labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects.
The matrix numbers are: - 612003 A 1 (side one) and 612003 B 1 (side two), which indicates it is a FIRST PRESSING.
The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed in an original plain poly-lined inner sleeve in a VERY GOOD condition, with just some minor creasing.
The printed Ernest J.Day laminated gatefold picture cover is in an overall VERY GOOD condition. The edges and spine are very strong (see photo of the spine). There is just some minor shelf wear along a small part of the bottom edge and at the corners. The opening edge has a small area of wear resulting in a 2cm narrow tear at the edge. The inside of the gatefold is unlaminated and has stayed remarkably clean and unmarked.
Overall a Very Good example of this highly collectable 45 year old record and cover. The pictures shown are of the actual item.
