Lovely copy of a brilliant LP, very rarely comes up. This is one of many of a private collection of LP's for auction.

Artist - Jimi Hendrix
Title - "Band of Gypsys"
Label - UK Track Records 2406 002. The label is predominantly black with the Track logo and lettering in silver.
Format - 6 Track LP, 12 Inch, 33rpm, Stereo
Matrix Stamps - 2406 002 A1 (Side 1) 2406 002 B2 (Side 2)
Year of Release - UK 1970
Sleeve Design - Cardboard single sleeve front with cardboard rear. Full colour photograph of puppet band on front of sleeve. All lettering on front of sleeve in blue. Rear of sleeve is full colour with Jimi Hendrix puppet on left of sleeve with all lettering in pink. Track logo and label number at bottom right hand corner.
Record Details - The sleeve is in overall very good condition as shown in the pictures provided, it is graded at VG. The front of the sleeve has some small creases in the cardboard and a small amount of staining/wearing around the entrance to the sleeve. All four corners are in tact without damage and minimal creasing. The spine of the sleeve has some creasing yet all of the lettering is clear and legible. The rear of the sleeve has some creasing however when you consider that this sleeve is close to 45 years old, it shows no worrying concerns.
The record itself plays through with no issues or concerns and is graded at VG/EX, it has a clear sound throughout. Side 1 has small surface marks that in no way affect playing or sound. Label on Side 1 has spindle marks as shown on picture. Side 2 has minimal surface marks that in no way affect playing or sound. Label on Side 2 has spindle marks (less than side 1) as shown on picture.
I have used the Rare Record Guide grading system to grade the overall condition of both the sleeve and the record itself.
Record Collector Magazine Grading System:
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be Mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding.
The record will be packaged carefully using top quality record mailers and stiffeners.
