Description
Up for auction is a very clean original copy of the Jimi Hendrix album "Band Of Gypsys" originally released in the U.S. on Capitol Records (STAO 472) in 1970.
-Guaranteed original pressing
-STERLING mastering stamp in deadwax
-RL Robert Ludwig etched in deadwax
-Original gatefold paste-down cover
-Original lime green Capitol labels
-NO typical Gold Record stamp on cover
-No UPC/bar code on cover
Condition:
These semi-matte covers were very prone to wear, but this one has been very nicely preserved. Just some light rubbing top and bottom middle, and on the seams here and there.--a little rub to the corners, but not serious. Interior is clean. Nice original.
Grade: a strong Very Good Plus (VG+)
Vinyl is in nice condition, still has its original glossy shine. No obvious scratches or scuffs, but under a strong light, a few very faint superficial hairlines can be seen, probably from having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a couple times. No marks around spindle holes, indicating little previous play. Looks like this record has maybe been played a couple times previously, but handled with great care. Very clean looking.
