JIMI HENDRIX Band of Gypsies 1st press UK 1970 Track 2406 002 Stereo
Trying to fulfill his contractual obligation, Hendrix issued tracks recorded at the Filmore East with Buddy Miles and Billy Cox in a new direction from his successful Electric Ladyland LP. The UK cover art was (again) a controversial staging of puppets to resemble Hendrix, Brian Jones, Dylan and John Peel. Track changed the cover to a photo from the Isle of Wight festival due to public complaints and the dissatisfaction of Hendrix himself
